Her rebirth as AKRYL is still fairly recent. Until now, the St. Gallen-based artist with roots in Madagascar was known as LYNN. But this vessel could no longer contain the young woman's poetic, irrepressible creative power. Her gentle voice and the imagery conjured by her sensitive lyrics hit straight at the heart. She can sing tender songs, but she can also be loud and angry. Akryl is a musician who tells honest, unsparing stories of emotional chaos, social frustration and loneliness. Her indie pop is informed by musicians such as Oehl, Faber, Dodie and Bon Iver.
