Bess Atwell

Bess Atwell is one of the hottest young voices in the UK and a musician who can look back on an incredible year after touring with Ben Howard and The National. The National's founding member is Aaron Dessner, a hugely successful musician, songwriter and producer. Alongside Taylor Swift, he took Bess under his wing and recorded her third album Light Sleeper in 2024 – one of the few albums on which he didn't co-compose. Bess Atwell's post-milk folk rock is full of sweet melancholy. She sings with a crystal-clear voice in images of lyrical depth about the joys and sorrows of close relationships.
