A young woman from Liverpool with London as her adopted home captivates with style, attitude and new, fresh music. The past year has seen a burgeoning cult fanbase grow up around Luvcat, who fishes in dark waters with theatrical gestures. It's romantic, dramatic and playful. Luvcat is an expert at creating legends and impresses with musical diversity and wicked stories. She was influenced by the taste of her paternal relatives: her granddad listened to Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack and loved musicals, her dad was into The Cure, Velvet Underground, Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits. Luvcat told the Rolling Stone mag that what she does is like "Tom Waits in silk panties".
