British artist and Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke is quoted in The Guardian as saying: “The nature of being a songwriter, or a painter, or whatever, is to retain a beginner’s mind.” He is currently pushing the virtual exhibition Kid A Mnesia, which bears witness in somber images painted by Thom Yorke and Stanley Donwood to the band’s state of mind in the early 2000s. Since 2006, Yorke has repeatedly branched out from Radiohead with his solo projects, most recently in 2019 with Anima, soundtrack to the Netflix production of the same name. And when all is quiet around Radiohead and it seems that there’s nothing new to be said, Thom Yorke sends out a new signal with an acoustic set at Zermatt Unplugged.
