Billie Marten has called her third album Flora Fauna. In many respects, it marks a new beginning for the young singer/songwriter from Great Britain who, at the age of 17, ranked high in the UK albums chart in 2016 with her debut Writing of Blues and Yellows. While minimalistic, ethereal and restrained are words that continue to describe the music of Billie Marten, her perpetually-maturing personality and unique view of our complicated world have made her open to fresh inspirations like krautrock and avantgarde. Billie has suddenly laid down her guitar, picked up the bass and turned a new leaf apropos her subject matter, which now puts nature center stage.
