Hell, yeah! If there’s wildness to be seen in the eyes of our festival visitors, then it’s gonna be at the Botticelli Baby gig, an edgy, non-conformist band from the Ruhr metropolis of Essen. Recordings of their no-holds-barred dirty jazz are already enough to get music aficionados’ mouths watering. Vagabond In A Dandy Suit from the third album Saft: what will happen when this kind of thing comes crashing down on us pandemic-emaciated couch potatoes in the spring? “My goal is to get people not knowing what is up and what is down when I’m done,” admits trumpeter Alex Niermann in an interview with WELT.
