The Zermatt Unplugged Special Edition sunglasses that we're launching together with VIU are an innovative interpretation of the classic glacier goggle and a further development of VUI's bestselling model The Adventurer. Limited to just 50 pieces, the sunglasses are available in two different colors Moss Grey and Black – inspired by the lichens and mosses of the Swiss Alps – and two sizes during the festival at the Zermatt Unplugged Boutique.
A revised design ensures even better wearing comfort and a more individual look. An integrated clip mechanism enables a detachable spectacle strap to be attached to the temples allowing the sunglasses to be worn comfortably around the neck. Together with their mirrored, polarized lenses, The Adventurer RX offers razor-sharp views and ultimate protection in high mountains and urban canyons.
VIU has also raised the bar when it comes to sustainability – excess polyamide left over from the 3D printing process is used for the next pair of glasses. The Adventurer RX not only provides mountaineers and urban explorers with a clear view, but also closes the circle from the alpine pioneers to their ongoing efforts to preserve the unique natural environment that we move through.
