THAT WAS
Zermatt Unplugged 2023.
WITH
130 shows, 70 acts, 17 stages,
over 30'000 visitors, over 100 partners, 210 volunteers.
ALSO WITH
601 spotlights, 280 speakers, 1150 pallets of decoration,
100'000 festival photos, 3700 liters of festival wine.
BUT ABOVE ALL WITH
a countless number of unforgettably beautiful moments of sheer pleasure that we get to keep forever as memories.
The final words – as always – come from our artists:
Passenger: «There are not many festivals on planet earth like Zermatt Unplugged. It's so stunning. And the hospitality is probably the best on earth, too. It's a beautiful venue but it's quite intense, it's very quiet and respectful. People really listen, which is amazing.»
Peter Maffay: «When you enter here, it's a bit like entering a different world. Performing in this marquee makes everything seem so intimate.»
Alice Merton: «Zermatt Unplugged is mountainesque, even if that is a made-up word. You feel like you're on a film set. Everything is more intimate.»
Mark Wilkinson: «It's just stunning, beautiful, the surroundings, the mountains, the vibe in town – with all the music. We are already planning a trip back.»
Bear's Den: «It has blown our minds. We have never been to any kind of ski resort. It's super inspiring. We both made more mistakes than we normally do, you are just so exposed. But those mistakes aren't really mistakes, they are moments of rawness.»
Calum Scott: «Everybody I have spoken to about this in the industry have all said how incredible this place is, Zermatt Unplugged as a gig, just the town, it's magical. It feels like we are in the middle of a snow globe.»
Bongeziwe Mabandla: «This is like one of the most beautiful sceneries I've ever been. With acoustic performances you get something sometimes more intimate, more warmer and more close to the originality of the song.»
Asaf Avidan: «Playing unplugged reminds me why I started making music.»
Morgan Harper-Jones: «A heart full of gratitude and a belly full of cheese. Thank you forever Zermatt Unplugged. I'm having the best time in Zermatt.»
Cam: «This is my first concert in Switzerland. It’s like the first date.
This location is insane, my favorite way to make music.»
Blair Davie: «This has probably been the most wonderful week of my life.»
THANKS FOR THAT.
THANKS FROM THE HEART.
To you – every one of you – you all made it possible.
