Das war Zermatt Unplugged 2024. Und das waren:
5 Tage Festivalzauber, 14'000 Minuten Konzertvergnügen, 27'000 Sekunden Applaus, 16 Nationalitäten auf den Bühnen, 604 Scheinwerfer, 10'000 Schrauben, 1800 m Baulatten, 650 Stunden Elektrotransporte, 4'500 Kaffees im Festival Office, 2 Tage Schneegestöber, 3 Tage Frühlingssonne – und unendlich viele bleibende Momente.
Zum Schluss übergeben wir wie immer unseren Künstler:innen das Wort:
Jack Savoretti • «Not just for me, but I feel like for any musician that comes in, this is one of my favorite festivals in the world. First, because the line-up is always awesome and then the location is pretty spectacular, and you get to see bands and musicians play in a way that you don't usually get to see.»
Patrick Watson • «A pretty unique location. Like I'm very spoiled. I mean, I went skiing this morning. It's ridiculous. Yeah, this place is gorgeous, like the mountains.»
Blanco White • «You have to rely less on kind of textures and effects and try and be more immediate and roll in your performance. We've had to change things around a little bit for this show, and that's been fun to think about and experiment with. And yeah, kind of brings things back to the raw ingredients a bit more. People are incredibly attentive here, and very respectful.»
Michael Patrick Kelly • «Für euch, für diesen Abend mussten wir alles umkrempeln und das hat sehr viel Spass gemacht, es war wirklich schön. Das was wir heute hier machen, wird es nur hier geben. Das ist ein Unikat.»
JP Cooper • «I mean, it has to be one of the most beautiful locations in the world, right? It feels like you're in a little bubble. We don't often get to do it like this, you know. Really stripped back and just connect with the audience and just don't worry about the whistles and bells. It's just stripped back to the bare bones.»
Birdy • «I think like just the chance to do something a bit different because it's unplugged is so great and it's going to be really intimate. And, you know, we are obviously in a very beautiful setting. It is inspiring. But, I'm excited tonight we're going to have strings on stage and do something pretty different and nice. Intense, but in a nice way.»
Angus & Julia Stone • «When Angus and I we're working on this new record, Zermatt Unplugged was the first show we were talking about for the whole world tour. It felt like the right atmosphere for this music. People here are really respectful and listening for nuance. We had such a brilliant little festival time. Besonders möchten wir uns bei all unseren Partner:innen bedanken, mit deren Unterstützung das Festival überhaupt erst realisierbar ist.
Dazu gehören unter anderem unsere Main Partner (Raiffeisen, BKW, Swisscom), unsere Co-Partner (Volvo, Michel Reybier Hospitality, Norqain, SWISS), unser Taste Village Partner Schweizer Fleisch, unser Destination Partner Zermatt – Matterhorn, unsere Local Partner (Einwohnergemeinde Zermatt, Zermatt Bergbahnen, Matterhorn Group, Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn/Gornergrat Bahn, Hotelier Verein Zermatt) sowie die Loterie Romande und der Kanton Wallis.

Um fünf weitere Jahre konnten wir unseren Vertrag mit Zermatt – Matterhorn und der Einwohnergemeinde Zermatt verlängern. Auch mit den Zermatt Bergbahnen, der Matterhorn Group sowie der Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn/Gornergrat Bahn haben wir eine erneute und langfristige Zusammenarbeit vereinbart. Wir freuen uns riesig auf die kommenden Jahre!
