For the past few years, a Dutch band has been building up a reputation with a fresh approach. Marjin van der Meer and Jorrit Kleijnen, the founders of the band Haevn, first met on a film set. The two started out making film music together before discovering that their creations would work just as well without the visual aspect. Since their 2018 debut Eyes Closed, they have been conquering the hearts of a steadily growing international audience with their wonderful songs, which also work brilliantly with minimalist instrumentation.
