Zermatt Unplugged has always embraced the vibrancy, promotion and development of up-and-coming artists and offers newcomer acts from Switzerland and abroad a platform. Many of the visitors come to the festival to discover new acts. The music scene needs new talents to stay alive and continue to develop. By introducing the Academy, the festival strengthens the promotion and exchange of the (newcomer-) scene locally and beyond.
