It's all a bit different, a bit more unusual, a bit more distinct. The dinner event at "La Piscina" with after party is no ordinary restaurant experience – this is where music and culinary bliss unite in a discernable symbiosis. Berlin cuisine meets Berlin music and merges with the warm hospitality of Zermatt and the unique flair of Zermatt Unplugged.
Zermatt is a gourmet's paradise offering everything from the traditional and the trendy to the downright avant-garde. And the festival itself champions this claim to fame by transforming into a five-day oasis of culinary enjoyment. It's safe to say that this almost feels like home to the gastronomic luminary Billy Wagner – owner of Nobelhart & Schmutzig, the Berlin-based Michelin-starred restaurant. A guest at Zermatt Unplugged in 2019, he returns on festival Tuesday (April 9) as the host of this extraordinary culinary event. Dinner is served alongside music curated by Bigamo, the record label from Berlin owned by Frank Wiedemann (aka Âme/Innervisions) who, like Wagner, is also a festival returnee – he played a live set at one of Zermatt Unplugged's after parties in 2022.
An intimate setting provides space for 35 people at a time to feast on seven seasonal Nobelhart courses accompanied by atmospheric live performances. Look forward, among other things, to the electronica-infused classical audio visions of Dutch violinist Honingbeer.
The dinner is followed at 11 p.m. by a party featuring danceable grooves brought to you by the Bigamo crew. Also on board is Keope, an artist duo experimenting with electric guitar, drum machines and an analog modular synthesizer, and Kalabrese.
The location – "La Piscina" by CERVO – is a perfect match for the event's unique and unconventional nature. As the name suggests, dinner is served in a former swimming pool. Daniel Lauber and his team are on hand as Location Partners to provide support prior to and during the event.
