110 concertgoers have the chance to spend an evening with the Icelandic musician Ásgeir during this year's edition of the festival. He's been on Iceland's hot-list of globally-known artists since 2012. He whipped the people of his native land into a frenzy with his debut album Dýrð í dauðaþögn, the texts for which come from the pen of Ásgeir's father, the lyricist Einar Georg Einarsson. The musician John Grant translated the words of his debut album into English before it went on to conquer the international market under the title Into the Silence. Soul meets folk: his music is gentle and melodic, his arrangements minimalist. Ásgeir's dreamy and profoundly emotional voice has the power to carry you off into a truly unique landscape.
