A counterpoint hovers above the rooftops of Zermatt: Joep Beving gives a concert ­– it's accessible music for complex emotions. The Dutchman is the most listened-to pianist of our time. Joep, who has harbored a passion for piano music since early childhood, only discovered his true destiny after first travelling a much-convoluted path. His way is now paved by the intuition and sincerity with which he performs his compositions. It all began with the self-funded vinyl pressing of 1500 copies of his debut album Solipsism. Joep suddenly went from an unknown pianist at the Cannes Advertising Film Festival to his name appearing on Spotify's Peaceful Piano playlist. Joep's journey is like one of those fairytales that have the power to transform the world for just a moment into something completely new.
