Addicted to music. A driven late bloomer. Incredible voice. Since 2014, multi-instrumentalist Robert Laupert has played hundreds of concerts all over Europe. An invitation to South by Southwest (SXSW) in Texas led him to collaborate with Mocky, who was already refining Feist's music. L'aupaire is inspired by Americana, folk, and pop. His voice is in the tradition of the old Blues master: It is rough yet approachable, a voice that tells stories and recalls Tom Waits. For Zermatt Unplugged, L'aupaire has expanded his instrumentation with accordion and contrabass and plays songs like The River and Flowers, stories that are heard more and more often on the radio, with his band.
