Very special, very minimalist, not at all obvious and not too poppy: this is how Matilda Mann describes her songwriting. British media and music bloggers can't enthuse enough about the young Londoner, who's being hailed as one the indie folk scene's most interesting newcomers. As well as BBC Radio 1 including her poetic songs on its rotation and receiving masses of airplay in America, Matilda Mann is now playing sold-out headlining shows in her home town. She's opened concerts for the likes of Arlo Parks, The Staves and Holly Humberstone. Still relatively unknown on the continent, this artist's fresh, exciting approach will soon change that.
