When more than 78 acts reduce their songs to the bare essentials and more than 800 helping hands and 100 partners put their hearts and souls into all they do – when a circus marquee stands proud against Switzerland's most spectacular mountain landscape and people from far and wide flock to one place – it can only mean one thing: Zermatt Unplugged time is here again.

CONCERTS • reduced to intimate moments.

The first two days of the festival were emotional and enriching.
Birdy filled the marquee both with her beautiful energy and her string orchestra to gift the audience confidence and courage with lines like "People help the people. And if you're homesick, give me your hand and I'll hold it"James Arthur moved concertgoers with his empathetic pop ballads, honesty and captivating charm. And the shows by Ben Howard and Patrick Watson at the Vernissage transported the audience into their own unique world. Nothing was too much, nor too little. These two concerts were definitely from and for the heart.

GET-TOGETHERS • reduced to joy.

There was a surprising amount of new snow, fresh sound, talent to discover, wild stage outfits and contagious joy in Zermatt on our Discovery Stages where the soft voices of Harrison Storm, Jon and Roy, Holly Macve and Dekker wowed listeners. Nola Kin surprised and delighted with her distinctive compositions and the German Bands Zimmer90 and Mar Malade delivered dreamy, dancy sounds to eager listeners in the Foyer Marquee.

FINE DINING • reduced to great food.

The redesign of the festival site is not only a joy to the eye, but also sets the heart racing and the mouth watering with its culinary offers. The Taste Village and Foyer Marquee invites you to feast and discover daily from midday till midnight.

PARTIES • reduced to unforgettable nights.

To round off the first two days, festivalgoers grooved their way through the nightlife program! The multi-talented Jake The Rapper and the live-act duo Gome performing at the Vernissage were two of the nightlife highlights. And the former hotel swimming pool at theLa Piscina pop-up was filled once again with waves, this time of a sonic kind, by Kalabrese and Keope.

MOUNTAIN ACADEMY

Six talents from Switzerland saw the Mountain Academy enter its third round with songwriting sessions, face-to-face coaching and live showcases – a project close to our hearts aimed at promoting emerging talent.
They created, composed and made music while nature and the energy of the festival provided the inspiration. The Campfire and BEAUSiTE were transformed into stages where the talents shared their freshly created songs with the world for the very first time.

AN EXCITING FORETASTE

The eventful festival adventure continues throughout the village and across the very heart of the ski resort. For those of you who have neither tickets nor plans, then we recommend checking out the concert by R&B queen Mahalia and/or finishing off with the Grammy-winning Gregory Porter and his unmistakable jazz vocals on the Marquee Stage.

TIME-OFF • reduced to lasting memories.

Wishing you tons of fun!
